Mega Snake

Our Review
By Jon Donnis
I am a big fan of proper old school B-Movie horror films, there is nothing I enjoy more on a Saturday night in than bad dialog and low budget, and Megasnake delivers here perfectly.

This is a film that never takes itself too seriously, and gives you exactly what it tells you it will.

Starring the ever excellent Michael Shanks (Stargate SG1's Daniel Jackson) as Les, a paramedic who is gonna save the town after his dumb brother steals a special snake from a Native American's snake shop.

This snake is mystical and ancient, and to own it you must stick to a few rules, the most important one, not to feed it anything alive. Of course in proper Gremlins style, the snake escapes, eats and grows to ridiculous proportions.

In comes Shanks to save the day, and also save his relationship with the woman he loves.

I enjoyed this film for what it was, a bit of fun, a silly B-Movie horror, it made me smile, it made me laugh, and it even grossed me out with some of the gore.

I will give this film a rasping 8/10

Movie Details
When Duff Daniels steals an ancient snake, the Unteka, from Native American snake proprietor Screaming Hawk, he is given three rules to follow: "don't let it out of the jar, don't let it eat anything living, and never fear the heart of the snake." The jar gets broken and the snake starts eating, growing as it does.

It is left to ophidiophobic paramedic Les to right his brother's wrong, with help from his girlfriend Erin and Screaming Hawk. They must learn the meaning of the final rule in order to slay the 40 foot+ snake now snacking its way through the town carnival.
