Grace Is Gone

Our Review
By Redbaron
John Cusak stars (in possibly his best performance imho) as a man whose wife is serving in the U.S. military, and is killed in action.

Devastated, he finds he can't bring himself to tell their children that their mother is dead.

Lost in his grief, he decides to take them on a trip, hoping to find a way to break the news to them.

A sad , thoughtful film, very well done I thought, and well acted, especially Shélan O'Keefe who plays the older daughter.

The only negative is I found it a little rushed at the end , skimming over the aftermath of Cusak telling the kids, and how they cope.

It suffered from a lack of publicity when released so did not receive the exposure it should have, and not being a mindless action movie didn't help its popularity either, sadly.

9/10
